BONE-MARROW FAILURE FOLLOWED BY ACUTE MYELOCYTIC-LEUKEMIA IN PATIENT WITH DUBOWITZ-SYNDROME - CASE-HISTORY AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

We report a patient with Dubowitz syndrome who developed aplastic anem ia followed by acute nonlymphocytic leukemia unresponsive to treatment . A review of literature and this case study indicate that patients wi th Dubowitz syndrome are at high risk for development of bone marrow f ailure and malignancy, requiring long-term medical follow-up for early detection and management of potentially life-threatening complication s.
