Abstract
It is experimentally shown that the FeCoV/TiZr supermirrors produced in PNP I can be used as remanent polarizers in the external fields up to 30 Oe. Po larized neutron reflectometry with phase analysis can be realized in the sc heme "remanent polarizer - sample - remanent analyzer" (without spin-flippe rs), provided the polarizer and the analyzer can be rotated about their sur face normals. The precession front in the reflected beam is shown for diffe rent wavelengths to be parallel to the sample surface. It is concluded that three components of the polarization vector of neutrons at the moment of s cattering from the sample surface can be measured in such a scheme. (C) 200 1 Elsevier Science B.V.
