In the Fe-3 wt % Si alloys used as electrical-sheet steels, a quasistatic m
agnetic hysteresis loop of a special type was found; the loop had an inflec
tion separating it into two regions with different slopes. Such a loop is p
eculiar to only a coarse-grained material with a (110)[001] texture rolled
in the [001] direction and annealed at certain temperatures. The observed f
eatures of the loop are caused by strain aging, upon which changes in the m
agnetic phases occur that increase the difference between their magnetic ha
rdnesses.
