Abstract
The behaviors of two new synthesized liquid crystals represented by chinald inates were characterized by consecrated thermal methods (TM and DSC). The thermal methods were conjugated with some structural methods, like RMN and IR spectra. From the experimental transition temperatures at different cond itions, the enthalpies and entropies of transition were calculated. The exp erimental results for different applied conditions were discussed comparati vely.
