Abstract
It was sinthetizated and characterized four new esters of choleslerol and s tigmasterol, compounds with liquid crystals properties. The compounds were characterized by IR and NMR measurements. The texture of the mesophase has been determined with a polarising microscope equipped with a hot stage.
