Abstract
(-)-Chenopodanol (2) has been isolated from the liverwort Marchantia c henopoda and its structure determined by spectroscopic techniques as w ell as by total synthesis. Chenopodene (1) has also been synthesized i n an optically active form, resulting in revision of the originally as signed absolute configuration.
