Abstract
A recent development in the Danieli DC EAF technology is the twin-electrode DC EAF concept at Hylsa, Flat Product Division, Monterrey, Mexico. A Danie li 135-t twin-electrode DC EAF with an installed power of 208 MVA was start ed up on October 30, 1998, The furnace is designed for melting a 100 % Hyte mp((R)) DRI charge.
