Abstract
This article describes the authors' efforts to develop a modular, research- grade, dispersive spectrometer designed to permit fundamental studies in ne ar-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. Among the instrumental parameters that can be varied are light-source current, spectral resolution, chopping frequency, detector bias, detector type, and single- and double-beam operation.
