Abstract
Several sulfur-containing optically active C-2-symmetrical ligands have bee n synthesized from (R)-cysteine and applied successfully as chiral catalyst s in the asymmetric addition of diethylzinc to aldehydes. The resulting sec ondary alcohols could be obtained in good yields and excellent enantiomeric excess. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
