Abstract
The title compounds behaved as alpha -bromoglycine templates. Radical subst itutions acid S(N)1-type nucleophilic additions proceeded with retention of stereochemistry, while S(N)2-type displacements occurred with net inversio n of configuration. A homocoupling product was obtained in attempting a Sti lle cross-coupling reaction. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
