Porcine circovirus a literature review

Post-weaning multi-systemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) has emerged recently as an important disease of pigs in North America, Europe and Asia. The predom inant clinical signs of this syndrome al-e wasting and respiratory distress . There are typical gross pathological changes of lymphatic organs, differe nt types of pneumonia in addition to nephritis and hepatitis. Pol cine circ ovirus type 2 (PCV2) has been isolated Si-om PMWS-affected pigs and experit he various clinical syndromes, the epidemiology of infection and the diagno stic methods. The second park comprises information about the pathogenesis, the clinical signs and pathological features of the clinical syndromes ass ociated with PCV2 infection.
