Abstract
Myocardial infarction in patients under age 45 years is a relatively unusua l phenomenon; blunt chest trauma is one of the nonatherosclerotic mechanism s leading to acute myocardial infarction in young adults. The authors repor t a rare case of anterior myocardial infarction in a 22-year-old man follow ing a mild nonpenetrating chest trauma whose left chest was elbowed during a soccer game.
