Abstract
The contributions of parent and teacher attachment and self-concept to academic motivation were examined in a sample of 150 high-school stud ents in the 11th and 12th grades. Findings indicated that parent attac hment and attachment to a teacher were individually and collectively r elated to academic motivation, and that academic self-concept was a si gnificant predictor of academic motivation.
