Abstract
The authors report the first case of a poorly differentiated epidermoid oes ophageal cancer with myocardial metastasis. The diagnosis of malignant invasion of the myocardium was made by transthor acic echocardiography with electrocardiographic changes of subepicardial is chaemia. The authors review the literature of metastasic cardiac disease after the s tudy of this particular case and underline the value of Doppler tissue imag ing for myocardial characterisation.
