Abstract
A formula describing the asymptotic electron distribution function as t --> infinity is obtained by selecting phase variables, taking into account the conservation of the longitudinal component of the electron velocity in a u niform, external magnetic field. Several initial distributions are consider ed. It is shown that there is no universal asymptotic distribution for an a rbitrary initial isotropic distribution. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodic a".
