A new species, Arabis beirana P. Silveira, Paiva & N. Marcos, from central Portugal is described and illustrated. A list of diagnostic differences bet ween Arabis beirana and the closely related species A. sadina and A. stenoc arpa is provided. (C) 2001 The Linnean Society of London.
