Abstract
The associations of n-alcohols (C-4 to C-9) with water-soluble p-sulfonato calix [4, 6, and 8]arenes have been determined in aqueous solutions at 25 d egreesC. In contrast to the case of cyclodextrins, the alkyl chain length d oes not contribute to the stability of the associated complex.
