Design and synthesis of novel tubular and cage structures based on thiazole-containing macrolactams related to marine cyclopeptides

Tubular and cage structures, i.e. 16 and 18, have been synthesised from mod ified cyclic peptides following selective cyclotrimerisations of l-ornithin e and l-glutamic acid thiazole amino acids under high dilution conditions.
