Abstract
Using GSH affinity chromatography followed by isoelectric focusing a GST is oform having an apparent molecular mass of 22.5 kDa and an isoelectric poin t at pH 5.1 was purified from the skin secretion of Xenopus laevis. Its N-t erminal amino acid sequence showed a highest similarity with the sigma GST class having the GSH dependent prostaglandin D2 synthase activity and found in the chicken (76% identity) and rat (66% identity) spleen cells.
