Abstract
Objective To report the case history of a patient who underwent a laparosco pic resection of a rudimentary uterine horn following a pregnancy and ruptu re at 30 weeks' gestation. Methods The clinical records of the patient were reviewed. Results The clinical and radiological findings demonstrated a unicornuate u terus, without a patent connection between the rudimentary uterine horn, an d the cervix. The patient's first pregnancy occurred in the rudimentary ute rine horn which ruptured at 30 weeks' gestation. A haematometra developed 1 7 months after an emergency Caesarean section, and she subsequently underwe nt a laparoscopic resection of the rudimentary uterine horn. Conclusion This case report describes a minimal access procedure being carr ied out to treat a congenital anomaly of the uterus following a major obste tric complication.
