Abstract
We successfully obtained biaxially oriented NdBa2Cu3O7 superconducting film s with the Tc of 89K on {100}< 001 > textured Ag tapes without any buffer l ayers. The lower substrate temperature seems to be favorable for the better biaxial orientaton of the NdBa2Cu3O7 grains; the film deposited at 650 deg reesC had an excellent biaxial crystal orientarion, while on the textured A g tape heated at 720 degreesC, NdBa2Cu3O7 phase grew in two orientations, 4 5 degrees apart.
