Abstract
In this work, we present simple and new method for producing a biaxially-te xtured Ni tape by electrodeposition for the substrate of YBCO coated conduc tor, since electrodeposition process has many advantage in the industrial p oint of view. The thickness of Ni deposit was 50 mum and can be peeled off easily from the cathode. The crystal orientations of electrodeposited nicke l tape were determined by the analysis of X-ray pole figure and EBSD. This tape showed cube texture with out-of-plane (<7 degrees) and in-plane alignm ent (< 20 degrees).
