Abstract
We present results from magnetic resonance imaging experiments using superc onducting thick film YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO) receive coils. The coils' prope rties and image qualities are compared with identical copper and silver coi ls, It was found that the SNR (at 77K) and image quality obtained using the YBCO coil is significantly increased relative to metal coils of identical geometry at 77K.
