We have developed a High Temperature Superconducting Quantum Interference D
evice (HTSQUID)-based eddy current probe that incorporates a Hybrid Double-
D (HDD) sheet-inducer coil design for the nondestructive evaluation of cond
ucting materials, Cylindrical high-T-c superconducting shields assist the d
evices operation in magnetically noisy environments. Experimental results a
re presented comparing the flaw response, at various depths, obtained with
a conventional sheet inducer with the flaw response obtained with the HDD s
heet-inducer.
