Abstract
Recently, the industry has shown a growing interest in the field of in-hous e wireless communication. The two major technical challenges are the interf erence and the signal distortion by the communication channel. We propose t hree different interference mitigation and distortion compensation strategi es. These strategies are based on frequency domain processing, which is bes t supported by Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and Single -Carrier modulation with cyclic prefix (SC-CP). Both modulation techniques are compared with respect to their performance in an in-house environment. Both techniques are promising for in-house communication in an environment corrupted by interference and frequency selective channels.
