Abstract
The quantized acoustoelectric current (QAC) induced by a surface acoustic w ave in a one-dimensional (1-D) channel, offers the possibility of a quantum current standard. We report on the accuracy and flatness of the QAC for se veral plateaux and demonstrate an empirical relationship between the curren t error and plateaux slopes, The temperature dependence of the QAC and rf h eating of the electron gas are also discussed.
