Abstract
In view of the problems in the clinical application of microwave external r adiator, the needle-shaped waveguide excited radiator in the model of coaxi al-waveguide transition was replaced by a tapered Archimedian spirals radia tor. It improves the standing wave ratio, reduces the radiator's volume and weight and decreases the microwave leak. The result is satisfactory with c linical practices.
