An attempt is made to study theoretically the low- and high-field longitudi
nal diffusivity of n-InSb in the extreme quantum Limit. The investigations
are made for two lattice temperatures 4.2 and 77 K, considering carrier scr
eening and scattering mechanisms for various band structures. It is found t
hat the diffusivity increases with electric field but decreases with magnet
ic held. Moreover, the diffusivity decreases due to the inclusion of quantu
m screening, band nonparabolocity and scatterings. It is also observed that
the scattering mechanism plays an important role on the diffusivity. (C) 2
