In Sudak et al., a general method is developed for the rigorous solution of
a circular inclusion with inhomogeneously imperfect interface in plane ela
sticity. In this paper, the authors extend the results presented in Sudak e
t al. by finding exact closed-form solutions of a more general case arising
from a choice of interface parameters that leads to a coupled and seemingl
y intractable system of differential equations. The results again illustrat
e how the pointwise variation of the parameter describing the interface imp
erfections has a pronounced effect on the average mean stress within the in
clusion.
