The instability of an isothermal magnetized accretion disc is examined
. It is shown that the radial and the azimuthal magnetic fields B-r, B
-phi are dominant in enhancing the instability of the magneto-acoustic
modes, and that the radial pulsational oscillations are larger than t
hose in the z direction. Finally, we use our model to explain the vari
ability of FU Orionis and T Tauri stars.
