We deal with consistent first order non-relativistic corrections (i.e. in t
he small parameter epsilon = 1/c, where c is the speed of light) of the Dir
ac-Maxwell system. We discuss a selfconsistent modeling of the Pauli equati
on as the O(epsilon) approximation of the Dirac equation. We suggest a coup
ling to the "magnetostatic" O(epsilon) approximation of the Maxwell equatio
ns consisting of Poisson equations for the four components of the potential
. We sketch the semiclassical/nonrelatistic limits of this model.
