Abstract
Stark widths and shifts of nine singly ionized oxygen (OII) spectral lines, belonging to three types of transitions (3s-3p, 3p-3d and 3p ' -3d '), hav e been measured at electron temperatures between 12000 K and 20500 K and el ectron densities between 0.76 . 10(23) m(-3) and 1.82 . 10(23) m(-3) using a linear low pressure pulsed are, as an optically thin plasma source, opera ted in CO2. Measured Stark broadening parameters have been compared to the existing experimental and theoretical data. We have controlled existing tra nsition probabilities for twelve OII lines relying upon a relative line int ensity ratio (RLIR) method and we have found that nine of them need correct ion.
