Abstract
Four sesquiterpenoids were isolated from Petasites japonicus (Siebold and Z ucc.) Maxim. ssp. giganteus (F. Schmidt ex Trautv.) Kitam. (Compositae, Jap anese name: Akitabuki) as allelochemicals. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods and their allelopathic effects were assessed, (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
