Gsk. Wong et Lx. Wu, VARIATION OF MEASURED NITROGEN SOUND SPEED WITH TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE, The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 102(1), 1997, pp. 650-651
Based on nitrogen sound speeds measured by Younglove and McCarty in 19
80 [J. Chem. Thermodynam. 12, 1121-1128 (1980)], a multicolumn coeffic
ient fitting method is used to derive an empirical equation for the co
mputation of sound speed at temperatures from 150 to 330 K and pressur
es from 0.028 75 to 1.506 85 MPa. The maximum deviation between the me
asured sound speeds and those computed with the empirical equation is
less than 380 ppm.
