Characterization of some biometrical parameters in the Spanish fighting bull

Twenty-one biometrical parameters (five cephalic variables, six where the h ems started growing, four at the legs and six zoometric indices) were studi ed in four-years-old Spanish fighting bulls from different herds, fought in second grade bullrings in the Murcia region (Spain). The live weight of al l the animals when unloaded from the lorry as well as their herd of origin was taken. The results in general show a big uniformity of the variables analysed. Cle ar differences between the live stock from different origins and similariti es among those which come from a common genetic line can be seen in the dis criminant analisis.
