Abstract
The crystal structure of 1,10-diazonia-18-crown-6 5,5,6,6-tetrafluoro-4,7-d ioxo-3,8-diazade- canedioate dihydrate was studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The dicarboxylate dianion and the macrocyclic dication are loc ated in the crystallographic inversion centers; the dication conformation h as approximate D-3d Symmetry. The geometries of these molecular ions and th eir packing together with water molecules were determined. The salt forms i n a crystal an infinite three-dimensional polymeric structure, mainly throu gh a system of interionic (intermolecular) hydrogen bonds.
