A case of rectus sheath hematoma diagnosed initially as probable pulmonary
embolism in a patient on anticoagulation with low molecular weight heparins
for swelling of the left leg is presented. Prompt consideration of this he
matoma in the emergency department is important to avoid unnecessary and po
