Abstract
The nanoparticles of a centrosymmetric material titanium dioxide (TiO2) hav e been synthesied and characterized by hyperRayleigh scattering (HRS) techn ique. The particles with mean diameter of 10 nm have large first order hype rpolarizability in solution, which arise from the surface layer of the part icles.
