Abstract
Zirconia is known to be one of the best materials for the chromatographic s upport due to its excellent chemical, thermal and mechanical stability. In this work we report preparation acid use of bovine serum albumin (BSA)-immo bilized zirconia as a chiral stationary phase for separation of some enanti omers in reversed-phase liquid chromatography. The BSA-zirconia showed good enantioselectivity for some of the enantiomers studied and could be used f or RPLC separations in mobile phases of alkaline pH.
