Ch. Lee et Hm. Wang, Effects of grounding schemes on rail potential and stray currents in Taipei rail transit systems, IEE P-EL PO, 148(2), 2001, pp. 148-154
The: effects of different grounding schemes, including ungrounded. solidly
grounded, and diode-grounded on rail potential and stray currents in Taipei
Rail Transit Systems are presented. The running rails are used as the retu
rn conductor for traction currents. the advantage being that no dedicated r
eturn conductor is required while the disadvantage are rail potential and s
tray current problems, Thus. the analysis of grounding schemes is important
and necessary. Sample simulation results for the Tamshui line between Chuw
ei and Kuantu stations are presented.
