Abstract
The crystal and molecular structures of the five-coordinate complexes [Cu(d ipyr)(N-sac)(O-sac)(H2O)] (1), and [Cu(dipyr)(2)(N sac)](sac).0.25H(2)O (2) , formed by reaction of dipyridylamine with [Cu(sac)(2)(H2O)(4)]. 2H(2)O, h ave both been determined; the monosubstituted product represents the first example of a mononuclear transition metal complex with N- and O-bonded sacc harinate ligands present, both at comparatively short distances from Cu.
