Abstract
Suprathermal electrons are produced with energies up to 10 MeV by the inter action of high-intensity laser pulses with overdense plasmas. With the prog ress in short-pulse multiterawatt lasers, it is now possible to produce MeV electrons in a plasma. These electrons have potential for applications to medicine and other technologies, Particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations were pe rformed to produce suprathermal electrons.
