A new technique is proposed for constructing algorithms for the time-domain
electrodynamic analysis of two-dimensional structures with arbitrarily dis
tributed permittivity and permeability. Five modifications of the algorithm
are presented for different fillings of the domain under study. The algori
thms obtained are compared in the required memory space and the number of a
rithmetic real-number operations.
