Diffraction by a dielectric cube, a dielectric octahedron, and a dielectric hexoctahedron

A computational algorithm for solving problems of diffraction by homogeneou s symmetrical bodies with symmetries is developed using harmonic analysis o n finite groups. The diffraction of a plane wave by electrically large octa hedral dielectric bodies characterized by the octahedron symmetry group is investigated numerically.
