Abstract
The formation of methylene-bis derivatives of benzopyran-4-ones from their Mannich bases was studied. On these grounds, unsymmetrical methylene deriva tives have been synthesized by reacting Mannich bases of benzopyran-4-ones with structurally related compounds lacking the dialkylaminomethyl group.
