Mf. Golnaraghi et Gn. Jazar, Development and analysis of a simplified nonlinear model of a hydraulic engine mount, J VIB CONTR, 7(4), 2001, pp. 495-526
This paper concerns nonlinear modeling of a hydraulic engine mount, focusin
g on the decoupler action. The proposed model is a simple nonlinear functio
n, which describes the flow resistance in terms of the decoupler plate disp
lacement and speed. The flow resistance using this model increases dramatic
ally as the decoupler plate approaches the top or bottom of the decoupler c
age. The advantage of the proposed model over the existing ones is its simp
licity Numerical simulation results show the behavior of the model to be re
alistic. Approximate closed form solutions have been obtained for the syste
m using the multiple scale perturbation method. Perturbation provides a sol
ution for the mount response at resonance. These results match the intuitiv
e and experimental results available in the literature.
