This talk is a brief summary of three papers [1-3] written at the FU Berlin
. A systematic data analysis of single diffractive scattering data shows th
at the colorless objects which manifest themselves in these reactions are c
olor-singlet gluon-clusters formed as a consequence oi self-organized criti
cality in the complex system of gluons inside the proton. This knowledge ca
n be used to obtain simple analytical formulae for the corresponding differ
ential cross sections, in particular their t-dependence. As a consequence m
eson radii can be extracted from inelastic diffractive scattering data.
