A new high frequency ozone generation system is presented. This system has
several main features: reduction of the electrical losses, lower voltage va
lues and reduction of the input power. The frequency applied to the ozonato
r is fixed according to the electrical resonance between the ozonizer cell
and high voltage transformer.
A comparison between the proposed and the medium frequency system is made u
sing the same ozonizer cell to show the advantages of this new system. Diff
erent levels of ozone production are achieved by varying the pulse width of
the low frequency signal that modulates the high frequency pulses. This me
thod allows the ozone production to range from 5 to 100 %.
