Abstract
The reaction of B-hexoses, D-pentose and organic pentacoordinate 1, 3, 2-di oxaphospholene were investigated. The observation showed that there wa e ob vious differences of reaction ratio, intermediate, and final products in th e reactions between hexoses and pentose via pentacoordinate phosphorus comp ound. The results should give significant clue to the metabolic mechanism o f carbohydrate phosphate in nature.
