Abstract
New bis(cyclopentadienone) containing fluorine in phenyl substituents, 4,4' -bis[2,5-diphenyl-3-(p-fluorophenyl)-cyclopentadien-1-on-4-yl]tolane, was s ynthesized. The interaction of this compound with various diethynylarylenes according to the Diels-Alder reaction yielded new fluoro-containing phenyl ated poly(phenylenes) combining good solubility in organic solvents with hi gh thermal characteristics and low dielectric constants.
